Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside

8/9/2015

We had the pleasure of staying at Port Orleans Riverside for 3 nights in June 2015.  While we had a pretty packed 4 day schedule, our time at the resort was pleasant and comfortable.  We had a 1st floor corner room very near the East Depot bus stop.   Upon our arrival at 10:30am on Friday our room wasn’t ready yet, but we got a text at noon with our room number and our bags had been delivered by Magical Express by the time we got back from the Magic Kingdom at 2pm.  We chose to stay here again for 5 nights in April 2016 with our 3 month old baby, and it was just as lovely as we remembered.

Port Orleans Riverside is adjacent to Port Orleans French Quarter, but it is a good 15 minute walk from the lobby of one to the other.  The 2 resorts do share busses depending on the destination and time of day.  Riverside also has the option of taking a boat for transportation to Downtown Disney.  During our stay we only had time to dine at Riverside Mill Food Court, but we peeked at the other options at Boatwright's Dining Hall and River Roost and hope to give them a try in the future.  The cast members we encountered were all incredibly kind and accommodating.  As far as theming, amenities, and ambiance, this resort is a close second for us to Caribbean Beach Resort in the moderate category.

TTFN,
Carter
